What I love about him....

My husband is my best friend.

I thought that I would write a post about my greatest blessing outside of the Lords love and salvation in my life.

About my HUSBAND.
My soulmate and best friend.

I go into more detail about our love story in my book, I'm No Angel, but I can't help but write about him all the time :)

He brings my heart so much joy. So here are some things that I just love about him.

Mike is so patient with me.
He prays for me everyday.
He leads me.

Mike loves me unconditionally. Even when I screw up or make a mistake.
He makes me laugh. ALL the time :)

I catch him staring at me in adoration when I least expect it...
His heart is so kind and loving.

When I hear one of our loves songs it can bring me to tears. (the happy kind) because I am so thankful for his love.

Mike learned how to play the guitar, wrote me a love song, && played it for me when he proposed to me.... He just melts my heart.
My husband is always pursuing my heart and his love for me grows each day that we are together.

Mikey would rather be with me than anywhere in the entire world. He loves me and longs for me like Christ does with the church.

He teaches me, helps me, and protects me.
Mike never raises his voice with me. His love is so gentle.

I am the only woman he desires to stare at.
He loves the Lord with his entire soul.

When I am away from him there is a part of me that is missing.

I believe that God made us for each other && through prayer and His amazing grace and sovereighnty He guided our lives together to be One.

He holds my heart in his hands. Forever and ever... Amen

  1. Thank you so much Kylie for such a blogpost. I’m so grateful to God for who He is and for what He is doing through your lives.

  2. This post makes me so happy!!
It it is a wondrous display of Gods pursue for us and how he will provide if you are just patient and rely on his timing.
I am soon getting engaged to my best friend, David. I am only 18, but your story is encouraging because you were married "young" also. But a woman in Christ knows a godly man when she sees one, and it is truly a blessing.
There are a few things David says, which remind me of your above post.
-We can only grow closer to one another if each of us grows closer to God
-The only way to fully love you is to love you through God
-I want to love you like Christ loves the church
-You are my Proverbs 31 woman

Aww :) Things like that make me swoon. Anyways, I am so happy for you and your husband! It really reminds me of the relationship I have with David :)

Keep pressing on so someday we can say to the Lord in heaven:
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful." [2 Timothy 4:7]

    Your sister in Christ,
    Sarah D.

  4. Thank you for sharing your story through this blogsite. Its helping me decide to fight for my marriage. Im a husband and its 4am in my hotel room as I write this. Im struggling and questioning if I truly love my wife and if we really deserve each other. Ive been unforgiving, bitter and resentful towards her. Your humility and how you and Mike are so love struck to each other is the relationship I want. I want to fall in love with my wife again. I want to accept her unconditionally and I want to confess to her that Ive been a big jerk too in our relationship. I want to change. I want to be in love with my wife. I want to adore her. I want to be the husband God wants me to be. I know only through faith and walking with God these can be possible. Thank you for modelling this marriage relationship to me.

  5. Thank you for your honesty and transparency about your relationship with Christ and Mikey. I too am married to a Mike and am blessed to be his wife. It took me 24 years of struggle and rebellion to see that God had given me the 'perfect' man. A man of strength and conviction who desired to live his life honoring the Lord. I praise God for His patience and faithfulness to me and the abundant grace He has shown. I love my husband and am privileged to be his wife. I pray daily for direction and correction in my life. I praise the Lord for His abundant grace!!!

  6. I am happy for your example and for you! Keep on! May God bless you!

I read this entry and just wanna reflect on your sentence that your husband would be your "soul mate". Some day i thought the same, but i learned that this has no base in the Bible. Read this:

It helped me a lot to understand this.

  8. I pray every night that I will find the man of my dreams. I'm 28 years old and have yet to have a boyfriend. I've made mistakes with several guys but am trying to re-write my mistakes and be a good, moral woman. I'm praying and trying to better myself and give my heart to God. I just hope I can be forgiven for my past sins. Sometimes I feel like I'm going to end up alone. I don't know why but I feel no good man will ever love me. God bless you for finding your true happiness. I hope I have what you have. :(
